Confrence workshop: Distilling Essential Oils with George Frazier, A Wild Crops Farm and Our American Pine Nut Sheller Video

Greetings,

Many people on our list have emailed over the years asking to be informed about special events.

George Frazier will host a workshop on making your own distillation units two days at the Missouri Organic Association's Annual Conference in Springfield MO . He has several simple designs to share and the conference is jammed packed with great speakers and workshops. Tina Wilcox of The Folk Center will be presenting and there are lots of terrific classes and workshops.

Also, George has invented a pine nut sheller and we put together a fun little video about shelling American pine nuts. We did not have enough of a harvest to follow up on our plans to give away the shellers with large orders, maybe next year. We also have the video on our pinenut blog,

George, Zeb, Adam and I are out in the woods almost every day picking flowers. It is easy to be grateful - the bounty of the earth is part of our lives and livelihood. This year's flowers are simply the best we have ever harvested. They are very rich with oils and phyto-chemicals. Thanks to persimmon leaf, I am outside often. My allergies so much better. I am grateful for the medicine of that plant. It has given me a treasured part of my life back. I know how lucky we are to have this life, these plants and our wild crops farm. I wanted to thank our clients and wish them all the best as the cycles turn.
