This is my 8th year, of what I have defined as my life's work.

My  Short Story

When George and I lived in Homer, Ak, (population 4,500), there was a public meeting on an oil lease EIS. Over 400 people showed up to provide comment at a public meeting. They closed the meeting at 1:00 am, with only 150 people having given testimony.  They promised to come back, but the never did. Department of Oil and Natural Gas was going to RAM their  plan, down the throats of the people who lived there. The public testimony, did not matter; the agenda was profit driven. I learned the political system was, not nearly as effective as it was suppose to be. I learned political activism was not enough.  We had to do more than talk.  I vowed that night, to find SOME WAY to protect the land, any way I could.
My thought was: if I can find a wild item, where public land managers can make their money, I can help protect wild lands.
That is how, my life's work was born.

My Pledge:
I give thanks for my being, and vow to do my best to honor the privilege of my life.

You can buy pine nuts a few places on the internet.  Some people  care about being competitive.   No matter what I do, they will offer a cheaper price. I have no control over others. Just myself, and  I promise to work on behalf of the forest the rest of my life.  It is what I do, first and foremost.  If you can buy my pine nuts, it helps. Maybe, I can buy more ink, or fax more letters. IF money is terribly tight and buying from me is not an option. email me!  I will help, I want everyone to have eat these pine nuts. This is not about money, but something much bigger and more important.
